Our Vision
TILT's vision is for young people to have life long skills for accessing, evaluating, analyzing, and producing media in order to make positive change in themselves and their communities.
Our Core Values
TILT strives for and values diversity in staff, partnering organizations and the populations with whom we work. The following are the boundaries within which TILT operates in pursuit of our vision.
- Teach media literacy and critical thinking through story development and hands-on video production.
- Provide a student-centered, experiential learning environment in which youth have creative ownership.
- Encourage youth to use media as a tool to express the perspectives and concerns unique to them.
- Tell stories that speaks to a variety of communities.
- Work with populations who might not otherwise have access to the tools of media production.
- Provide ongoing support for young filmmakers.
